Fight Result: Javier Mendoza won the fight by Technical Decision

Milan Melindo vs Javier Mendoza Fight

Former flyweight title challenger Milan Melindo, finally has a second chance at every boxers dream, a world title. He will fight against Javier Mendoza in Mexico on May 30th. Currently, Milan is training at the Wild Card gym of the world class trainer Freddie Roach. His training is being supervised by Edito ‘ALA’ Vallamor. Editors brother Edmund won the trainer of the year awards 3 times.

When he stopped training Milan, the fighter dropped down in weight from the flyweight division to the light weight division. This saw him over 10 pounds above the 108 limit. but this will not trouble him when the weighting begins.

His trainer said that he has been watching Javier Mendoza’s fighting tapes and said that he is a good opponent for Milan since he is a fighter who likes coming foward all the times something that is good for Milan. This will give Milan an opportunity to exploit his fast counter punching ability.

Even though Mendoza has hometown advantage, Melindo has a very good chance of winning this fight. He has all it takes, he has a record of 32 Wins, and only 1 loss. 12 of his wins have been through knockouts. HE is as fast as he his brutal, he packs a lot of strength in each punch and has a very impressive counter punching ability.

Milan is also in a very good form. He has suffered only one professional loss. This was against Francisco Estrada on July 2013. It was a good fight until Melindo tried to sling it out with the hard hitting Estrada. Apart from this, this fighter has been in a very good form.

Mendoza on the other hand is a great fighter who is always coming forward trying to control the ring. This may turn out to be his downfall as Milan is one opponent who has a very good counter punching ability. He is a stronger fighter though Milan is the heavier of two.

This will be a very interesting fight to watch. When talented fighters as these two are, their fans will be very entertained. This is a very difficult fight to predict, the two fighters are talented, they have it all, it seems like match up, but in my opinion, Milan is the best of the two. Lets weight for the decision to be made in the ring, it is only a few days to go.
