MGM GRAND GARDEN ARENA, LAS VEGAS — Mauricio Herrera of Riverside, CA fought a hard 12 round fight with Johan Perez of Caracas Venezuela and gained a majority decision with the judges scoring 114-114 and 116-112, 116-112. With the win Herrera wins the interim WBA super lightweight title and up his record to 21-4-0, 7KO while Perez drops to 19-2-1, 13KO. Earlier this year Mauricio Herrera fought Danny Garcia, Garcia escaped a Unanimous Decision victory but most of observers and boxing fans sees it in Herrera’s favor.
