Bermane Stiverne vs Deontay Wilder Fight

Alternative Video

On January 17, 2015 Bernane Stiverne fought Deontay Wilder at MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
for the WBC World heavyweight title

commission: Nevada Athletic Commission
promoters: Oscar De La Hoya (Golden Boy Promotions) / Don King (Don King Productions)
television: USA Showtime Latin America: Canal Space

There’s alot of trash talk going between two fighters before this fight, Both of them claim that the fight will end in Knockout but we failed to see this result instead they have  produced a less entertaining fight, Deontay Wilder fought like Vitali Klitscko using his height and reach as an advantage that long jab really keeps Stiverne from distance where Deontay can pick his shots and move away Wilder also hurt Stiverne in several occasions during the fight but Bername takes these shots and comes back and fires back his own shots at Wilder.

Stiverne didn’t do much adjustment, he was forced to go forward as Wilder keeps his distance and jabs, Stiverne is a fighter who is good in counter punching when his opponent goes at him like the Chris Arreola fight,  Stiverne Knockout Arreola with a counter right hand. Wilder have studied  Stiverne very well he didn’t go aggressive as he always does because he knows that Stiverne got a good punch that can end the fight.

It was a safety first fight for Wilder  he outworked Stiverne with these long jabs and power right hand shots, Stiverne maybe waited long enough for Wilder commit mistake and find the opportunity to land that counter right hand but it never came.

Deontay Wilder takes the heavyweight title back to USA as he outpoints Bernabe Stiverne in their 12 round  match for the WBC World heavyweight title. Wilder showed some discipline in this fight sticking on their game plan with this win Wilder improves his record to wins 33-0, 32 Knock Out while Stiverne’s record slides down to  24 wins 2 loses and 21 Knock Out.

Judges Scores:

– Adalaide Byrd 109-118

-Jerry Roth 108-119

-Craig Metcalfe 107-120

Now that Deontay Wilder is a World champion is he now ready to face Wladimir Klitschko?
