Fight Highlights: Lemieux knock down N’Dam four times

IBF 160 pound Middleweight title fight goes the way of Lemieux.
Ranked #4, David Lemieux came in as challenger for the vacant IBF middleweight title fight. Ranked #1, Hassan N’Dam came in wanting to extend the fight the full 12 rounds in order to win by points.

Lemieux knocked down the number one ranked boxer four times as the boxing match did end up going 12 rounds, but the powerful blows from Lemieux left N’Dam in a catch up fight. Final scores read, “ 115 – 109, 115- 109, 114 – 110,” and the fight got closer in the final rounds. After knocking down Ftassan in the second, twice in the fifth, and once in the seventh, Lemieux had burnt a bigger portion of his stamina and that allowed N’Dam to score some points in the later rounds of the boxing match. The fight might have gone easier for the number four fighter if he had spared a few head shot punches for the body, because in the later rounds that Hassan won, those head-hunted shots went whistling in the air as the eventual victor, slowed from earlier power shots.
