On 25 October 2014, Michael Katsidis travelled to Hull, England to face Tommy Coyle. The fight took place at Hull Arena, in the lightweight division. Michael Katsidis suffered his seventh career loss when he was knocked down and stopped in the second round from Cole’s counter left hook that landed on the side of head of Michael Katsidis,

Katsidis was able to beat the count but he was unsteady, to avoid further punishment referee stopped the fight. Katsidis was once known of taking heavy blows from his previous opponent and was able to withstand punishment for the entire fight, Tommy Coyle is not a Knock Out artist but he was able to put down Katsidis with a single shot,

I think its really time for Katsidis to  think of  hang up his gloves and retire while he still have a good health, he is now just a shadow of his old-self he fought the best fighters in his era although he fell short with these big fights he gave his opponent a hell of a fight and some of my favorite fights are the Michael Katsidis vs Juan Manuel Marquez and Katsidis  vs Joel Casamayor.
