Longest reining Filipino Champion Donnie ‘Ahas’ Nietes once again made history to become the 3rd Filipino to win Champion belts in 3 weight division Nietes joining hall of famers Nonito ‘The Filipino Flash’ Donaire and the best Filipino boxer of all time Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao.

Nietes outboxes Nantapech all thru out the fight but it was not an easy one for Filipino, Nantapech use continuous pressure attack to wear down Nietes. Nietes uses his ring intelligence and effective counter punching to spoil Nantapech’s attacks, the Thailander have his moment in the fight but it was not enough to steal the victory.

This is the only second fight at flyweight for Nietes last he fought Mexican veteran Edgar Sosa and the Filipino won that fight with one sided Unanimous Decision.
