Sadam Ali successfully managed to defeat his opponent Francisco Santana by a unanimous decision in a 10-round welterweight fight on the Wladimir Klitschko-Braynt Jennings card on 25th Saturday 2015 at Madison square Garden. Sadam Ali an Olympian from Brooklyn won on scores of 100-90, 97-93 and 97-93. He stuck to his game plan throughout the interesting fight with Francisco Santana giving him a liberal dose of movements and very quick combinations to win. The fight was purely Ali’s speed, movement and quick enough against his opponent Santana’s persistent pressure. Despite the pressure, Ali landed some hard shots on his opponent. He managed to rock Santana in the second round with an uppercut and followed a couple of very stiff left hooks.

Francisco Santana plowed back forward right through the fight as Ali moved backward and to the side and tried to catch Santana coming in. Santana exerted a lot of energy with his constant and steady movement, but when he would stop and throw, he had fire five punch combinations. Santana was looking to land more power shots but the movement of his opponent seemed frustrating him. Santana got more and wilder with his punches as the fight moved along. By the eighth round his face and eyes were also marked up and were swelling. On the other side, Ali’s eyes were also red and puffy.

Finally, Ali landed a very good left hook and right hand, and wobbled Santana in the last final round, bringing the crowd to life. After the match fight, Santana acknowledged that the fight was a tough one and he didn’t know whether he had won the fight or not. He though he came on strong at the end, but he remarkable said he wasn’t sure whether it was good enough. According to Santana, it was an uphill battle and Ali was a stronger fighter and he did hurt him a number of times. He gave Ali full credit for a great fight.

Ali was thrilled with his victory. For him it was a dream which had finally come true. He was not only pleased with his winning, but also with the fact of fighting at Madison square Garden. He said he would like to fight a top 10 contender in his next fight competition. He too acknowledged that Santana was a tough fighter and that he hits very hard although he was able to take his punches.
