September 9, 2017 Roman Gonzalez vs Wisaksil Wangek 2 Rematch at Carlos Cuadras at StubHub Center, Carson for the WBC World Super Flyweight Title
There is no controversy this time Wisaksil Wangek made sure this time around won’t go the distance as he demolished Roman Gonzalez in 4 rounds, Wisaksil Wangek size and punching power proved to be too much for the former Champion Roman Gonzalez, Gonzalez was caught with a hard right hook to the jaw the sent him down to the canvas he was able to get up and continue and he fought toe to toe fight even if he was hurt but it didn’t ended well for him Gonzalez was caught again with another right hook and he was out cold this time.
In the first fight Wangek admitted that he trained 2 months in that controversial fight and this time around he trained 4 months and he knew that he can knock out Gonzalez this time around.
Whats next for Gonzalez
I think its time for Gonzalez to retire the way he fight it was really a fan friendly action fight but theres no more for him to prove he is a 4 weight division world champion this time around he bit more than what he could chew Wangek was too strong and to big for him or maybe he can move down in weight and fight guys in his size.
Whats next for Wangek?
Wisaksil Wangek next fight could be Juan Francisco Estrada who just beat Carlos Quadras in an entertaining all Mexican fight or a possible match with Naoya Inoue from Japan who successfully defended his WBO belt Antonio Nieves.
One thing for sure eith Juan Franciso Estrada or Naoya Inoue fight is a very good fight for the WBC Champ
