Jason Pagara popularly known by his nick name “El Nino” was born in 17th July 1992 in the city of Cagayan de Oro in Philippine. He is a professional boxer. Jason started boxing at a mere age of 8 at Leyte when he was playing with neighborhood friends. He used to watch his father Reynaldo, who was a boxer too. He defeated Tata Tadena on 29th September, 2006, a fight event which took place at Jagna, Bohol in Philippines. This is when he made his professional debut. On July 25th 2009, he unanimously defeated Simon Butar Butar in a 10 round bout. This fight event was held at Dao Public Terminal at Tagbilaran City in Bohol, Philippines with the judges’ scorecards all in favor of Pagara. He beaten Carlos Gallego through TKO on 12th June 2011
Rosbel Montoya defeated him through 10 round unanimous decision on 10th September 2011. He followed the defeat by a great win over Montoya in 6 rounds, a fight which was held at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. On 20th October 2012 he defeated Barbados Miguel by a knock out through TKO on the 1st round.
On May 25th 2013 he beaten Aaron Herrera at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel, defending his WBO International light welterweight title. During this fight, Pagara posted a winning score from all the three judges after the 12th round. He again defended this title on 21st June 2014 at the same venue; Waterfront Cebu City Hotel in the city of Cebu. This time round he defended his title against Mario Meraz whom he knocked down in the fourth round.

Jason Pagara won against Ramiro Alcaraz of Mexico in his first international debut which was held at Dubai in the Dubai World Trade Center on 7th of August 2015. He won by technical unanimous decision despite suffering wounds on his left eye due to accident at the opening debut. He managed to continue fighting with the injury with the injury until his victory in the 8th round. The doctors advised him to stop fighting because blood as oozing from his eye, but he could not stop due to his determination to win the fight.

On his latest match and the first one in US, he won over his Nicaragua’s Santos Benavides with three knock downs in the 2nd bout. The fight took pace in Carson, California on Saturday, 17th October 2015.
