It took Daniel Jacobs 5 rounds to figure out Jarrod Fletcher for him to win the vacant WBA middleweight title. 1st round jacobs picks his spots nicely and scores 2 knockdowns that should of ended the fight but the Australian refused to quit. Fletcher managed to show a lot of heart to finish the round. Less action in round 2 but Jacobs continued to stalk his opponent. Fletcher continued to show signs of life and establishes a good jab to work his way back into the fight in round three. Perhaps realizing this, Jacobs step his game up and continued wearing Fletcher down. Jacobs sealed the deal by with a barrage of punches that cause the corner to concede the fight. The stoppage was 2:58 of the 5th round.
