Multi-division world titlist Nonito Donaire of the Philippines and Anthony Setoul of France both weighed 123 lbs. They are set for ten rounds. Nonito Takes on against Antony Setteoul in China.

On Saturday 18th, 32-year-old Nonito Donaire (34-3, 22 KOs) will battle it out with less known Anthony Settoul (20-3, 8 KOs) at the Cotai Arena, Venetian Resort, in Macao, Macao S.A.R., China. The fight will be televised by UniMás in the United States.
Nonito Donaire vs Anthony Settoul Fight

Nonito is a very skilled fighter; he is ranked as the 3rd best fighter by WBO and the 11TH by IBF. Nonito has his eyes set on the WBA super bantamweight Champion Scott Quigg.

If he manages to win the fight against Quigg, he will be able to dominate the title which is typical of him by sitting on it and defending it against less experienced fighters that WBA has ranked in their top 15 lists.

It’s quite unclear why HBO decided to pass up this fight. Maybe it is because the matchup is not competitive enough. In fact, it has been a long time since he fought a worthy opponent since he was stopped at the sixth round last year by Nicholas Walters.

Donaire won his last fight against d William Prado last March through a knockout during the second round.

The opposition that Nonito is facing is quite weak for a guy with his level of skill and experience. Even though Anthony has quite a record, 20 wins against 3 losses and 8 knockouts is not a simple job. Though he has the skills and the power, he does not have what it takes to stop a fighter of Nonitos caliber.

Antony packs a lot of power in his punches. He has excellent footwork on top of having a powerful reach. He has managed to win 3 consecutive fights in the previous years. His power punches have seen him finish some of his fights during the second round. If he was fighting another fighter of in his own caliber, perhaps he could have been the favorite, but against Nonito, it will be a miracle if he lasts more than four rounds.

Nonito is in a very good form right now. We expect him to win this fight through a knockout in the fourth round at the least. He his has the experience, power and skill that his opponent definitely lacks.

This fight will be very entertaining at least. The fact that it is not make a competitive match up does not mean that Nonito will let the chance of putting up a good show for his chinees’ fans.
